This morning I went to Juice Stand and French Cafe on main street. On the way back I stopped in all the cute little boutiques along main street. For dinner I went to SUA, where I used the WiFi to chat with my sister and listened to live music. My phone hasn’t been working right for a while so it was nice to talk to her! I think it’s just inevitable that your phone is going to get wet while you’re here and stop working properly. Hopefully it can recover, since it is supposed to be waterproof.

I went back to Fruit Juice this morning and also stopped at French Cafe again. For dinner I went back to Pizzeria la Frontera. Otherwise, I just relaxed and read my book in the hostel.

I haven’t been doing much for the last couple of days for several reasons. First of all, I’m just trying to rest between my last adventure and the next. Second, I just haven’t really met anyone. I could force myself to go down to the beach and make friends, but I’m just not in the mood. Maybe I’m in a travel rut. Maybe I’m tired of drinking. Anyway, I know I’ll be back with new people soon so I’m not too worried.
I am a little disappointed in this town only because I heard almost as much about it as Salento, but I’m not having nearly the same experience. Maybe I’ll have to come back the next time I come to Colombia when I’ve already gotten all of the energy consuming adventures out of the way. I’ve thought about learning to surf but the waves here aren’t that great for it. I think I just need to get out of my comfort zone a bit more.
Today I’m heading back to Costeño Beach. This wasn’t my original plan, but after loving it so much I found a convenient way to return without extending my original timeline for this area. I left some of my plan open ended to see what areas I wanted to stay in longer, so instead of using that on the city or Palomino, I’ll use it to hang at Costeño. More on that in the next update!
Before leaving I ate breakfast at the hostel and got my laundry back.
