Accommodations
We stayed in an Airbnb for one night before we got our train to Interlaken. It was cost effective for three to have a room in another person’s home with a queen bed and a couch, but otherwise Switzerland will break the bank no matter what.
I stayed in Geneva Youth Hostel for one night after returning from Interlaken because I found out the airport closes at night. It was fine and they put me in my room alone, thankfully. It’s big and there are older people here so don’t expect a good vibe. It’s also priced for Switzerland, obviously. It was close to the train station at least.
Transport
I took the train to the airport. They come frequently and early in the morning. Otherwise, I walked.
Food
- Ali Baba Kebab was right near the hostel and a decent cheap meal the night we got there.
- Mullers Factory has some good crepes for decent prices.
- Green Gorilla café was a cool café that I spent many hours in because it absolutely poured rain for the entire day I was there. Good WIFI for uploading pictures.
What I would do differently
I will go to the particle accelerator when I go back but it wasn’t possible due to the rain and COVID shutting down tours.
